Everyday Mindfulness – 4 week introductory course
This four week class is an introduction to the practice of mindfulness; training the mind to be focused, open and flexible. Each weekly class is 1 1/2 hour long and will include a short talk, practice, and discussion.
This course will include:
- an introduction to basic mindfulness practices
- opportunities to practice in class
- suggestions for integrating mindfulness into daily life
- resources to support an ongoing practice
Finding Your Practice – 6 week course
This experiential course will introduce you to the basics of practicing mindfulness and help you to develop and integrate a mindfulness practice into your life.
The course will include:
- Weekly meetings
- Recorded guided meditations
- Reflection exercises

S.I.T. 6 week course
This Six week Introductory Training (SIT) in Mindfulness will teach you to develop a focused and embodied attention, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and greater sense of ease and well being. You will learn a variety of mindfulness meditations and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, home and in relationships.
This course is designed as a 6 week class (2 hour, 1 x week). It is available in person and on Zoom. It includes the following:
- Training in meditation, developing awareness of breath, body, feelings and thoughts.
- Managing stress and learning how to shift from reaction to response.
- Recognizing and letting go of unhelpful habitual thoughts and mind states.
- Exploring, understanding and working with a range of emotional experience.
Ongoing Groups
- Weekly morning meditation (Tues/Thurs/Fri) at GateWay Taiji, Qigong & Yoga studio in Portsmouth
